Over 15 years of experience as a singer-songwriter, actor, session vocalist and teacher. Olivia teaches solid vocal technique which she keeps up to date with the latest voice science. She has also trained in a wide variety of styles, from opera to musical theatre to jazz, blues, soul, folk, rock, pop and much more. She offers singing techniques which can be applied to any style or genre.

Boasting a 100% success rate in Singing Grades 1-8, most students flying through with distinction. Olivia has also helped clients get into some of the worlds leading music and drama conservatories (including Berklee, Goldsmiths and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). Among Olivia’s clients are singers and voice users of all ages and walks of life, including professional singers, instrumentalists who want to brush up on vocals, actors, public speakers, choir participants, students and plenty of people who just want to have fun. Lessons are tailored to suit your individual needs. 

Olivia is affiliated with The Singer's Company (www.thesingerscompany.com) and is managed by Roy Hamilton III. As a result, she is also able to offer world class mentoring for those wishing to start or develop a career in music. She has significant connections within the industry to major record labels and publishers, such as Capitol Records and Warner Brothers.

Olivia's experience also extends to working in many mainstream schools across Bristol and London, including specialist learning support schools (such as Warmley Park School, New Fosseway School and City Academy). Having worked in specialist schools and having taught many children with disabilities at the her studio one to one, Olivia is very adaptable to everyone’s needs and helps everyone achieve their grades and goals with diverse learning strategies. Olivia refreshes her child safeguarding training each year in accordance with government protocol.

Olivia's home studio is fabulously friendly, equipped with state of the art microphones, Nord Stage 2 keyboard, hardware and software so you can record your music to a professional standard. There are amps and a stage microphone if you would like to practice your stage microphone technique.

Music Career:

Singer, songwriter and producer under the stage name of Saskia Nyx. Through her involvement with Roy Hamilton III and The Singers Company, Olivia writes and regularly pitches songs to major artists, such as Justin Beiber, Usher and Selena Gomez. Olivia is also currently working with Roy Hamilton III on her own EP release. You can find Olivia's music on platforms such as Spotify and iTunes if you type in the name Saskia Nyx. Olivia has sung in many venues in London and across Europe, including elite jazz bars such as Ronnie Scotts and The Archduke in Southbank. She has sung live on radio and on tour in Italy and France on multiple occasions in theatre shows and gigs. Olivia has also worked as a session vocalist across Europe and London, having worked with acclaimed artists, such as Stormzy and Labrinth.

In addition, Olivia has been an actress for over 10 years under the stage name of Olivia Dennis. She has undertaken many leading roles such as Susan in Five Kinds of Silence at the White Bear in Kennington, London and Natalie in Brother and Sister which toured the theatres of North Italy, including Teatro Vittorio Alfieri in Turin and Teatro Carcano in Milan.

Olivia has a degree in music from LCCM, London Bridge (the music college which produced many successful artists and musicians, including BRIT Award winning Tom Walker). In addition, she has a Diploma from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Olivia is a member of the BVA and keeps up to date with her knowledge of the latest scientific vocal discoveries.

Terms and Conditions:

• Regular weekly or fortnightly lessons are payable by standing order three days in advance of the lesson.

• In case of cancellation, please give at least 48 hours notice in order to receive a refund or to transfer the lesson. Any lessons cancelled with less then 48 hours notice are non refundable.

• If Olivia has to cancel the lesson herself, the price of the lesson cancelled will not be charged.

• Bookings are made on receipt of payment.

• All block bookings and vouchers are non-refundable and expire 4 months after the date of purchase.

• All lessons purchased must be used within 4 months of the purchase date

• Please arrive on time. Lessons are usually back to back. We’re very sorry that it’s not possible to interrupt another clients lesson to let in early arrivals or take time from the next lesson to make up for lateness. During the lesson, you will have Olivia’s full attention.

• We apologise that there is no waiting area as this is a home studio at a private residence. If you arrive early, please wait in your car or at a nearby cafe. Thank you.

• Please note that there are 32 steep steps to access the studio. We apologise that we currently have no wheel chair access. We are working on moving to a more accessible inclusive venue.
